Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. I offer tele-therapy sessions for clients who are located in Kentucky and Tennessee who are unable to attend in-person office therapy sessions.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify me as soon as possible so your appointment can be rescheduled.
Please call to cancel or reschedule 24 hours or more in advance. Life happens, and I understand that. I will always work to provide you with the quickest reschedule date possible.
Unfortunately, if you do not call within 24 hours or are a no-show, I will be unable to see you for future appointments until you pay an $80 fee.
If you are late for a session, you forfeit that time but will still be required to pay the full price of the appointment.
During the first session, and the second if needed, you and your therapist will discuss your reasons for seeking counseling, your history, your current mental health state, and set your personal goals for therapy.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy that helps people process distressing or overwhelming experiences that can feel "stuck" in the brain and the body. Through guided techniques such as bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps the brain reprocess painful memories so they feel more manageable over time. It is commonly used to support healing from trauma and PTSD, as well as anxiety, panic, depression, grief, and other mental health challenges connected to past experiences.
